Technology Lab Sessions

Technology Lab Sessions are structured to introduce the digital pipeline from beginning to end for Web, Mobile, and Game design and development, including the first step of researching and documentation, to the last step, of rolling out an application. We reinforce STEM, ELA, and Design skills during the labs, to help students better understand WHY these language, math and science skills are important to learn in the classroom.

Students are introduced to concepts like creative writing for the web, like how to optimize web sites for search engines to get the best ranking possible, and simple statistics, like web data analytics. For students interested in learning Game design and development, or Video Production to create video advertising, or to become an online influencer, one of our Technology Labs is the perfect place to start. We will also explore using AI as an ethical tool for Vibe Coding. Course details are listed below.

What to Expect: We have successfully completed the processes we teach many times and are confident in our abilities to help students grow, learn, and move ahead with the skills they learn. Our labs reinforce what students are learning in the classroom to help them better understand STEM, as it applies to web, mobile, coding, gaming, and video production. We also introduce business concepts like cost analysis (cost of goods created), profit margins (sale price minus the cost of goods), market research to learn how to price products, and other basic math concepts as they apply to these digital products.
